On the employee benefits side, he assists clients with the various requirements of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code and how they impact qualified retirement plans, including:
- 401(k) Plans
- ESOPs
- Profit-Sharing Plans and Pension Plans
- Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Arrangements
- Equity Plans
- Fringe Benefit and Health and Welfare Plans
- Severance and Termination Payments
Prior to joining Rinke Noonan, Steve was a senior tax associate at Ernst & Young in Minneapolis where he worked in an employee benefits and executive compensation department. There, he gained experience in drafting and operating various retirement and benefit plans and provided tax and compensation planning advice for owners and executives of public and private companies.
Steve is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Stearns/Benton Bar Association and the employee benefits section of the Hennepin County Bar Association.
