John C. Kolb
John Kolb is a partner with the firm and has been practicing law since 1996. His practice includes the areas of water, environment and natural resources, agriculture, land use and municipal law. He has successfully litigated numerous cases, advocated in administrative hearings and gained environmental permitting approvals for both private parties and governmental entities.

John graduated from St. Johns University with degrees in Biology and English. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School.
John is an active member of the Army National Guard and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He has over 19 years of active and reserve duty and commanded a combat battalion for over two years, including 16 months in Iraq. He is active in several local, state, and national community service organizations and advisory boards.
John is a frequent speaker on issues related to storm water and waste water management and agricultural drainage and has advised municipalities in the establishment of flood control, storm water and waste water management projects throughout the State. John is licensed in state and federal courts and appears regularly for clients in court and before various state and federal regulatory agencies.
