John J. Babcock
John Babcock has been practicing law with Rinke Noonan since 1990 and concentrates in business-related matters, including: the purchase and sale of businesses, partnership formation, technology licensing, taxation, estate planning, business succession and planning. He also structures deferred compensation arrangements and employee stock ownership plans ("ESOP").

John graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Accounting. He worked for several years as an auditor. Prior to joining Rinke Noonan, John worked as a Senior Manager in the tax department of a large accounting firm. John also worked as the Assistant Controller of a large Liquor, Beer and Wine distributor. John is a licensed certified public accountant. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the Seattle University School of Law.
John served as the 2001-2002 Chair of the Board of Directors of the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Executive Committee and chaired the Chamber's Governmental Affairs Division.
John is a frequent speaker at Small Business Administration-sponsored presentations of the Service Corps of Retired Executives and is a volunteer counselor for the Services Corps' on-line counseling service. He is also a frequent speaker for the Minnesota Trade Office on various business topics, including issues in international commerce.
