Bill Smoley has been practicing with Rinke Noonan since 1972 and concentrates in the areas of personal injury and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Smoley is an "Of Counsel" personal injury attorney.

Practice Areas

A native of Sartell, Bill graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his law degree in 1971 from the University of Notre Dame.

Bill is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, the U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court, as well as all Minnesota state courts.

Bill is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association. He is past president of the Stearns-Benton Bar Association and the 7th District Bar Association. He served on the Sartell School Board for nine years and was appointed as its chair. Bill was a member of the governing board of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and is now Trustee Emeritus of the MNSCU Board. He served as chair for both the Central Minnesota and National Alumni Boards of St. John's University.

Bill has been selected by his peers and the American Research Corporation as a "Leading American Attorney" in the area of Personal Injury. He also has been designated by his peers and Law and Politics Magazine as a "Super Lawyer."
