Nicholas Delaney has been an associate at Rinke Noonan since 2005 and concentrates in the areas of general civil litigation and family law. Nicholas has handled a wide variety of litigation and has substantial experience in the following areas:
- Divorce
- Child support
- Custody
- Maintenance
- Post-dissolution disputes
- Adoptions
- Contract disputes
- Condemnation and inverse condemnation
- Drainage disputes
- Real estate disputes, including breaches of purchase agreements or leases and boundary disputes
- Construction defects
- Probate litigation
Nicholas’ community involvement has included Board Member (Vice Chair) for the St. Cloud Area Downtown Council, committee volunteer for the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, active involvement and committee member for the Central Minnesota Builders Association, member of the Central Minnesota Manufacturers Association, and volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club.
While Nicholas has settled many cases, he has also successfully taken to trial or arbitration many others. Nicholas prides himself in maintaining quality client relationships during oftentimes difficult and contentious litigation by ensuring clients are informed about the pros and cons of every situation that can arise during the course of a lawsuit or dispute and are comfortable making informed decisions about how to proceed.
Nicholas is a native of beautiful Winona, MN. He graduated magna cum laude from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, IA with a BA in criminal justice, psychology and sociology in 2002. He then returned to Minnesota where he attended Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, graduating with honors (cum laude) in 2005. He began his career at Rinke Noonan following law school. Prior to graduating law school Nicholas’ experience includes law clerking for private law firms in the Twin Cities and internships with a Public Defender’s Office and the United States Attorney Office.
Nicholas currently lives near Rice, MN and enjoys spending his free time in the outdoors.
