Jim Wiant is a shareholder in the firm and concentrates his practice in:
He practices in a broad range of business areas, but with particular focus on commercial transactions and lending and lien law. Jim regularly represents banks, and other lenders and businesses in complex lending transactions, workouts, bankruptcy matters and collections. He also has broad experience with the Uniform Commercial Code, mechanic liens and other statutory liens.
Jim is active on the boards of several community and charitable organizations and has served as an officer and/or director for the Downtown Council of St. Cloud, the Great River Rotary Club, the Rotary District 5950 Ambassadorial Scholarship committee, the Minnesota Center Chorale, the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, Camphill Village Minnesota, and St. Cloud Area Legal Services. He has also participated in several service trips to Guatemala through Rotary in partnership with HELPS, International.
A Colorado native, Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He joined Rinke Noonan in 1979.
